FAQ:

1. Why should I register / sing in to SevenGames?
As a guest, you can try out most of the games on SevenGames. Only as a registered member though, can you make friends, chat, post and receive messages, battle against each other, save your high-scores and play with other users in Multiplayer mode. Membership in the SevenGames Community is free and guarantees lots of fun. So sign up now, for your free SevenGames account with your own nickname and avatar.

2. How do I become a member of the SevenGames Community?
The “Register” link brings you to your free membership registration form. Fill out the complete form. Take your time to read our Terms & Conditions, the data protection regulations and our code of conduct, then confirm them if you are in agreement. By clicking on the “Register” button you are sending off your registration. If your registration was successful we’ll send you an e-mail with a confirmation link to your specified e-mail address. By clicking on the activation link in this email you can permanently activate your registration. You have seven days to activate your account. In case you let this time lapse, your account will be deactivated irrevocably and all data will be deleted.

3. Does Community membership cost anything?
No, membership in the SevenGames Community is free.

4. Why haven’t I received a confirmation e-mail?
The sending of the confirmation e-mail can take several minutes. Delivery delays may occur from time to time (due to high e-mail volumes). If you still have not received your confirmation e-mail after approximately two hours, we ask you to check the junk mail or spam folder of your e-mail account, first of all. If you cannot locate it there, we advise requesting a new confirmation e-mail. To do so, select “Register” and click the “Request new confirmation e-mail” button on the page that appears.

5. How do I log into the Community?
Use your log in details (e-mail address and password) to log into SevenGames. You will find the log in fields at the top right of our page. After logging in successfully, your nickname will be displayed at the top of the page.

6. I forgot my password. What can I do?
If you have forgotten your password you need to click on the “Forgotten?” link located just under the log in fields at the top right of the page. Enter the e-mail address which you used to register to the SevenGames Community here, and then send the form entering the chain of symbols (security code). Subsequently we’ll send you an e-mail containing a link which you can use to reset your old password. In a second e-mail from us you will receive an automatically generated password. Use this to log into the Community and change your password in the “Profile” area under “Data” (see point 7).

7. How can I change my password?
In order to change your password, log into the SevenGames Community, click on “Profile” in the navigation menu, and then click on “Data” in the submenu that appears. Close to the bottom of the page you’ll find the function to change your password. Enter you old password once and repeat your new password twice. Save, and you’re done! Your new password is activated immediately.

8. How do I fill in my profile? How do I update my profile details?
If you are logged into the SevenGames Community, click on “Profile” in the navigation menu, and then click on “Data” in the submenu that appears. This will load the form which allows you to enter or update your details of your profile. Your entries or updates will only be transferred once you save the data.

9. How can I protect my privacy?
If you are logged into the SevenGames Community, click on “Profile” in the navigation menu, and then click on “Privacy” in the submenu that appears. The settings are divided into profile privacy settings and activity privacy settings. From here you can control the privacy setting of nearly all your data and activities by determining who can see them and who cannot. You must save your changes after making any adjustments in order to activate the new settings.

10. What are SevenGames Coins? What do I need SevenGames Coins for? How do I get SevenGames Coins?
SevenGames Coins is a Community service where you can purchase so called “Coins”, which you can exchange for certain online services such as Power Ups (see point 11), or digital products such as exclusive items for your avatar (see point 12.a). You can find and overview of your SevenGames Coins-balance in the “Coins Account” section under “Profile” as well as in the upper status bar. You can find all information on how to purchase SevenGames Coins by visiting our shop!

10.a. I have a Coins card. How can I use it to deposit funds to my account?
Owners of a Coins card can top up their Coins directly upon registration. The card number is equal to the bonus code. Registered members will find the bonus code field under the “Coins Account” menu item in the “Profile” section. Each bonus code can only be used once.

11. What are Power Ups? How do I use Power Ups?
On SevenGames, for each game we offer you ten Power Ups, which you can use to get you advantages in the game. Part of the Power Ups can be used in Singleplayer mode, the rest in Multiplayer mode. Instructions on how to use Power Ups can be found on the games pages and in-game (lower taskbar), by hovering your mouse over any Power Up. Each Power Up can only be used once within a game. The first two Power Ups are free and can be utilized by all users. The rest of the Power Ups are available for purchase in exchange for SevenGames Coins exclusively. We offer packages of 100, 500 and 1000 Power Ups in our Shop. The Power Ups available to you in each game (Single- or Multiplayer mode) are displayed in bold.

11.a. I only just registered and already have 50 power ups?
Upon registration on SevenGames all newly registered members receive a balance of 50 power ups (see point 11) so that you can try out all the SevenGames features and functions extensively.

12. What is an avatar? How do I create my avatar?
An avatar is your virtual representative within the SevenGames Community. It puts a face to your profile. In order to launch the avatar creator, log in, click on “Profile” in the navigation menu, and then select “Avatar” from the submenu. You can choose from a wide range of bodily features, clothes and accessories which can be combined to create your avatar according to your personal preferences. You can acquire a good overview of the features available to you by selecting the suggestion function, which generates an avatar for you at random. Save you changes, in order to link your avatar to your profile and make it visible to the Community within only a few minutes. If you are not happy with your creation, re-launch the avatar creator from the “Avatar” submenu without saving your changes first.

12.a How do I buy high-end accessories for my avatar?
Most of the clothes for your avatar are available for free. In the outfits section and in the brand store we offer exclusive items that can be purchased in exchange for SevenGames Coins. To purchase an item in exchange for SevenGames Coins you need to select it and confirm the process. After the purchase of an item has been completed, the corresponding amount of SevenGames Coins will be automatically deducted from your account. If your current balance is insufficient, you need to top up your balance of Coins in our shop beforehand (see point 10.a). All purchased items are available to you permanently under “Purchased Items”. This way you can use your purchased items and change your outfits at any time.

13. What are awards? How can I win awards?
On SevenGames special accomplishments are rewarded with awards. For an overview of the rewards and a short explanation on how you can win them, in the navigation bar under “Community” open “Awards”, or alternatively, visit the respective games page. Awards are special distinctions for gamers and so all awards are displayed on the member profile pages. The amount of rewards identify who is an avid gamer and who knows a game inside and out.

14. What is a battle?
On SevenGames you can challenge other gamers at any time. A “battle” is a competition between two gamers with the object of beating the other gamer’s high-score. A battle lasts 24 hours and the basis is the high-score of the player being challenged, which needs to be beaten by the instigating player. The number of attempts within the given timeframe is not limited. The player being challenged, on the other hand, can play in parallel and try to raise their current score to an unbeatable high-score. The winner of the battle is the player who attains the highest high-score in the battle.

15. How does the high-score ticker work?
On the SevenGames home page you will find a high-score ticker. Every time a player reaches a new high-score in a game the success is published via this ticker. Scores listed below the personal high-score will not be displayed here.

16. How does the “ignore user” function work?
You can ignore any member that you would rather avoid within the SevenGames Community. You can find this function in the user toolbox on the profile page of the user in question. To ignore a user means that the user’s messages will no longer be forwarded to you. The user is automatically notified. The block remains active as long as it is not undone. You can undo the ignore function on the users profile page at any stage. In cases of severe abuse we ask you to report the user (see point 18) so that our facilitators can take steps accordingly.

17. How can I make friends on SevenGames, and stay in contact with my friends?
If you are getting along great with players on SevenGames, you can add them to your list of friends.  To send a friendship request or break an existing friendship you will find the corresponding buttons in the user toolbox of the user's profile page. The user must confirm to accept your friendship request and be added to your list of friends. You can receive and edit your friendship requests under “Friends” in the “Profile” area. If a user accepts your friendship request they are automatically added to your list of friends. Once a user has confirmed your request you can view their online status under "Friends" in the "Profile" area, and view their activities under "Friends’ News”.

17.a How can I invite friends to join SevenGames?
Using our invite function from the Community overview page you can easily invite friends and acquaintances that are not yet registered on SevenGames. Enter the recipient’s first name, last name and their e-mail. Don’t forget to add a personal message so that the recipient can determine who the invitation is from. As soon as the invited party has confirmed, they will automatically be added to your list of friends.

18. When should I report contents on SevenGames?
We are dependant on the help of our users to ensure that everyone feels comfortable on the SevenGames site. If a posting or a user breaks our code of conduct we ask you to report this via our messaging system. To help our facilitators to react quickly, please specify a category and give short description of your message. Our facilitators check all messages in regular intervals and take the appropriate steps as soon as possible.  

19. I want to play against other users (Multiplayer). How does this work?
All of our Battle Games can be played in a Multiplayer Mode, in which you can play live against other Users, if you are a registered member of SevenGames. Once you are logged in, simply use the “Play Multiplayer” button on the chosen gamesite to start the Multiplayer Mode. On the following site, you will find our Games-Chat to talk to other Users and arrange matches, an overview of already existing and open Multiplayer Rounds as well as the buttons “Set up Game Round” and “Quickstart.”
In order to play a Multiplayer Round, you can choose from the following options:
a) Pick a Current Round from the list and join via “Join Now.”
b) Use “Quickstart” to be assigned to a Current Round by chance respectively open up a new one which other Users can join. This will be displayed under Current Rounds so other Gamers can join.
c) Use “Set up Game Round”, “Number of Players” to create and open up an own Multiplayer Round. This will be displayed in the Current Rounds List so other Users can join the session.
d) Use “Set up Game Round”, “Number of Players” and the function “Invite users for private round” to ask other specific Gamers to join your Round. In case none of the invited Users joins your Session, you can open it up for the list of Rounds so everyone is able to join.
If a Gamer sets up a new Multiplayer Round, all Users logged in in the Multiplayer will be notified via System Message. The notification contains a link that enables you to join the Game Round. This also applies to private Game session invitations, which are also displayed in the Game-Chat window, only for invited members though so no one else can join this specific Multiplayer Round. The Game session begins as soon as the needed amount of players has joined the Round. During a Multiplayer Match, a chat for all members of the particular Multiplayer Match is available on the right side next to the Game.

20. How can I chat with others on SevenGames?
The Chat on SevenGames is a Games Chat, exclusively available for registered members of SevenGames.
By opening up one of the Battle Games sites, registered and logged in SevenGames Community members will also be automatically logged in into the Games Chat. There are two different types of Chat-Rooms: the open one, in which you can find all Gamers, who are currently interested in playing the particular Battle Game (in Single- or Multiplayer Mode). Also, you will be able to use this chat on the right side to communicate with all logged in members on the particular Game site while playing the Singleplayer Mode.
The Multiplayer Chat, which automatically opens up next to the game window on the right side as soon as a Multiplayer Match has started, is also available to talk to current members of the Game session. This Chat window cannot be seen by others but those who joined the Multiplayer Round.

21. Why has my posting been deleted? Why has my account been locked?
Our code of conduct sets the framework for interaction in the SevenGames Community. We are dependant on the help of our users to ensure that everyone feels comfortable in the SevenGames Community. Please report any posting that breaks our code of conduct or any user that you feel is disturbing the interaction on SeveGames. Our facilitators check all posted messages and the activities of registered users regularly. We maintain the right to delete entries and lock user accounts without warning, depending on the severity of the offence. Please understand that these decisions are not up for discussion or justification. This is simply due to lack of time.
