The trust you place in us to handle your data properly is an important condition for the success of our on-line service. Therefore, we place great importance on data protection. The collection, processing (including storing, amending, transmitting, blocking and deleting) and use of your data is carried out exclusively in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.

We would like to briefly explain our principles regarding the collection, processing and use of your data:

1. Collection, processing and use of personal data

Personal data is information on the identity of an individual, such as name, address, date of birth or e-mail address. Such data arises, for example, when you conclude a contract or participate in a contest.

a. During the general use of our Internet service
In general, none of your personal data is collected, processed and/or used while using our Internet service.

b. When ordering specific services
Personal data is collected, however, when you convey it to us yourself. We then process and use this data if it is necessary to provide the service in question.

c. Use of your data for customer relations management
As part of our online service, we offer you the opportunity at various points to receive information about interesting offers and new products by various means (e-mail, telephone and/or SMS/MMS). For each company of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, or for our business partners, contact is established with you centrally through SevenOne Intermedia GmbH, which is responsible within the ProSiebenSat.1 Group for end customer care, i.e. customer relations management. Therefore, data collected from you is forwarded to SevenOne Intermedia GmbH, unless the latter has collected the data itself, and stored, processed and used (including linked and evaluated) in a central database of SevenOne Intermedia GmbH. This includes the use of such data by SevenOne Intermedia GmbH for other companies of the ProSieben Sat.1 Group.

2. Collection, processing and use of usage data

Usage data is data that you do not actively provide but that may be passively collected while you are browsing a web site, for example.

For four (4) days after a visit to our web site, we store the domain name or IP address of an enquiring computer, the file enquiry of the client (file name and URL), the http response code, the Internet site from which you are visiting us, as well as the date and length of your visit. The data is stored to detect disruptions or misuse of our on-line service and our telecommunications services/systems, provided the data is required to establish other connections and/or for accounting purposes. Usage data is not evaluated to prepare a personal user profile unless you have specifically consented to such use. In the case of disruptions or misuse, we reserve the right to file a complaint with law enforcement officials. There is no other use or disclosure of your usage data to third parties.

3. Use of cookies

• What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file sent by World Wide Web servers during a visit to an Internet site and stored on the hard drive of the respective user. If the server is called up again, the user's browser sends the previously received cookie back to the server. Information received by means of this procedure can then be used by the server in different ways.
For example, cookies are used to control ad pop-ups or make it easier to surf a web site.

• How does SIM use cookies?
During a user's visit to one of our online service sites, cookies are sent to the user's browser and stored on the user's hard drive. These cookies make our online service more user-friendly, as well as more effective and secure. The cookies contain no personal data and/or personal information of any kind about you, so that it is not possible for us to identify you using the information received from cookies. The information received is used exclusively to prepare statistics on the use of our online service. We use these statistics to adapt our online service to your needs and make surfing our web site as convenient as possible. Another reason we use cookies, for example, is to enable you to display the content of your shopping basket on all pages, or to control the distribution of pop-up ads.

If you enable auto login, a cookie containing your registration data is created for you by the corresponding page of our online service to recognise you when you return to the site so that you do not have to log in again. You can deactivate auto login at any time after it has been enabled.
Of course, if you would not like to use the advantages of cookies, our online service can be used without cookies. Every web browser can be configured to reject cookies.

Disclosure of your data

For customer relations management purposes, your data is only disclosed to companies of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group. Your data is not disclosed to our business partners or other third parties, unless
• You have specifically approved this
• A third party demonstrates to us that you have violated its rights by placing content (text, images, etc.) on our web site, and requires us to release your data, or
• We are obliged to release this data, for example, by court order or at the instruction of public authorities.

4. Changes to your data

We strive to ensure that the data we store for you is accurate. However, you may change (update, correct and/or amend) or delete your data at any time in the user profile area of the relevant service. To safeguard your private areas and your security, we check your identity before allowing you to carry out such measures.

Cancellation option

If you are no longer interested in receiving certain information and/or offers, or no longer wish to receive the information and/or offers by a certain means, please inform us of this at the e-mail address given below. We will immediately comply with your request. You can also use the same address if you wish to withdraw your consent for the collection, processing and use of your data in the future. In this case, we will immediately delete all of your stored data. Please note that the use of your data during an ongoing campaign may overlap with the withdrawal of your consent for technical or organizational reasons.

5. No liability for the Internet sites of partners

These partners normally have their own data protection policies. SIM assumes no liability for these policies, with which we have no connection. Please consult the respective data protection policy at those sites.

6. Data security

SIM considers the security of your data to be an obligation. To prevent unauthorized access or publication, and guarantee the accuracy and legitimate use of the data, we have introduced appropriate technical and organizational procedures to secure and protect the data we request online. However, SIM cannot be responsible or liable for the disclosure of your data due to errors during data transmission and/or unauthorized access by others.

8. Amendment of Data Protection Terms

If you convey personal data to us when using specific services, we notify you by the appropriate means (e.g. by e-mail) of any changes to these terms no later than four weeks before they take effect. To fully adapt our services to your interests, we collect, process and use the usage data required for this, as well as your responses to the information and offers sent to you (especially after you open, click on, request information or make a purchase) using the cookies and IP addresses on our web sites, and with link tracking during our e-mail campaigns.
